It comes during our darkest hour, the blackest of night-the way forward, the answer to our most desperate prayer. Our way forward is revealed to us after we have cried bitter tears like David and Jesus; My God, My God! Why have You forsaken me?
Your darkest night may have just become your brightest day.
How is that possible? Well, it’s like the angel said to the prophet Daniel thousands of years ago: “From the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words.”
God will come for your words; that is, He will answer your prayer and He will hear your cry in ways and at a time that you least expect. Be assured, He has not forgotten you, nor will He ever forget about or remain silent and detached from your needs. He is a God who is fully engaged in your life and the challenges you face daily.
That old saying can be true in your individual circumstance: God may not come when you call Him, but when He does come, He is right on time.
